Job Purpose Summary:

The Graphic and Web Designer is responsible for the innovative design and maintenance of Nology’s websites and brand marketing material, working closely with the Marketing Manager and other relevant departments.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

Website Maintenance
  • Design online banners and upload to the Nology brand websites on approval
  • Apply innovative, responsive changes and updates to the Nology brand websites
  • Administration, planning and management of Nology and Nology’s brand websites
  • Analyse and report on website progress and performance
  • Create and update forms and designs on Nology websites
  • Set –up and maintain notices on Nology website
  • Update Website content when required
  • Optimise SEO (search Engine Optimisation) on all Nology websites
  • Assist with design and layout on Social media sites when required
  • Maintain the security of Nology’s websites in conjunction with the Internal IT department
  • Implement tracking on websites for analysis

Marketing Material Design

  • Attend product management meetings to get information on weekly/monthly marketing campaigns
  • Design and supply of professional and high quality artwork timeously
  • Manage time spent on designs, efficiently and effectively
  • Proof read marketing literature before submission to the Marketing Manager
  • Design of packaging, quick start guides, and other relevant material for new customised products
  • Design of Point of sales material (posters, banners, brochures, billboards etc.)

Administration and General
  • Stay abreast with latest design software and effective design methods and make suggestions for improvement
  • Maintain online filing system
  • Update and submit reports as required
  • Assist with updating and implementing marketing related processes and policies
  • Maintain the company's corporate image and identity, which includes the use of logos and signage of Nology and its brands.
  • Advise employees on the correct use of company logos in keeping to the approved standards
  • Assist with ad-hoc administrative duties when required

Education and Qualifications Required:

  • Matric
  • Certificate/Diploma/ Degree in Graphic and Web design


Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years’ work experience in similar role
  • HTML5 and CSS3 Design
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Corporate environment – specifically B2B


Required Skills, Knowledge and Personal Characteristics:

  • Excellent computer skills and editing on different formats (Adobe CC Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, etc. HTML, CSS Styling, MS PowerPoint on PC/Mac).
